CHALLENGES

Children are poverty’s innocent victims because their voice is rarely counted and discounted. Children cannot vote.

They can’t form assemblies or petition authorities for programs that could alleviate some of the conditions they are currently suffering.

Work during childhood after school, hawking items on the street, involving in hard labour work etc for basic survival in the view of helping their families. In most extreme cases this creates emotional and psychological trauma, leaving the child struggling with upsetting emotions, memories and anxiety that won’t go away easily in a life time.

And also hurting child health and trapping children in low-skill work. These cases in Sierra Leone illustrate the extent to which multiple deprivation or limitations can curtail children’s opportunities, particularly in rural areas.

SOLUTION

It is important to treat issues relating with child labour with caution, in order to save the next generation.

We introduce several policies and social programmes, which aims at improving child education, child healthcare, social development, and child welfare.

And also raising awareness on the effects of child labour to families, children groups and communities. Especially in rural areas. By enforcing these projects would help to reduce child labour.
